Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. Can the simulator run on a Mac or Linux computer?
No. Just like CATIA, it only run’s on a PC

2. Do I need a fast PC?
No.

3. What is the minimum screen resolution to run the simulator?
1131x768 but it runs best on any screen bigger than 1131x828

4. Can I run the simulator on as many computers as I want
No. You can only run the simulator on 2 different computers.

5. Do I need a sound card?
Yes!

6. Can I repeat the training class after I’ve completed the modules?
Yes! As many times as you like for a full year.

7. What kind of mouse do I need
You need a standard 3 button mouse. The scroll wheel acts as a middle button when pressed.

8. My laptop has a 3 button trackpad. Can I use that?
Sort of… but you’d be missing on the speed you get with CATIA and a 3 button mouse

9. Do I need an Internet connection?
Yes! All modules are downloaded to the CAD Simulator from the web. Average module size is 30MB

10. How much extra hard drive space do I need?
1GB is fine

11. Do I need a CATIA© license to do the training?
No. It is a simulation.
